Some ray-tracing images with POV-Ray ==================================== Package: sspov2.zip, version 1.00 Compiled when: 2014-03-23 Author ====== Pov-files and images by: Stefan Spaennare, Lund, Sweden E-mail: stefan@spaennare.se Home page of the author: http://www.spaennare.se/index.html The images and pov-files are available on the web-page: http://www.spaennare.se/povray.html Some new POV-Ray images and animations ====================================== Here is a small compilation of my new dodecahedron star, hanging chain, Isabell plates and Newtons Cradle POV-Ray images. The images take less than a minute each to render on a modern computer, so you can easily do it yourself. A small text file how to do the Newtons Cradle animations is also attached. The pov-files work well with POV-Ray 3.6 and 3.7. Copy right ========== These pov-files are free to use, change and copy if the header appears in all copies. If you use the generated images for commercial use, the author appreciate if you make a reference to him and his POV-Ray web-page. References ========== The very nice POV-Ray ray-tracing program can be downloaded for free from: http://www.povray.org The dodecahedron star images were made by modifying the file "dodec.pov" found on Paul Bourke's nice web-page about Platonic solid fractals: http://paulbourke.net/fractals/platonic/ The hanging chain pov-files were generated with the mkcoshyp.c program found in the package sspov1.zip on my POV-Ray web-page. To finally put all the Newtons Cradle images together to an animation the small nice program "dtawin.exe" can be used. It is found here: ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/utilities/dta/ More information about POV-Ray animations can preferably be found on Andrea and Friedrich Lohmüllers amazing home page with very nice tutorials: http://www.f-lohmueller.de/index.htm ---------------------------------------------------------------- End of readme file.
